We all love taking pictures. Pictures are important to us. They are our memories of places we have visited.

We taking pictures of our friends and family, famous people. And when we travel our camera’s become a constant companion.

A Digital camera is an electronic product.

Do you know How to take care of your camera?

What we should be aware of whille we using our camera?

There are certain things we all know.

Digital camera does not like a high temperature or a really low one.

Camera also does not like humidity and a sand.

Let’s think of some other parts of our camera, we should také care of.

Electronic lens

Electronic lens is really important in your camera. If the lens gets damaged or scratched it will have a major effect on the quality of your pictures. So if you have camera with automatic cover or an electronic lens, it is fine. If your camera does not, always make sure that you use the plastic cover that the camera was supplied with when you purchased it.

Always cover the lens when you are not taking pictures.

From time to time the lens should be cleaned.

Do not use a part of your clothes or a paper tissue. Always follow manufacturers instructions and recommendations when cleaning your digital camera.

Dangerous batteries / accumulators/

Batteries are the biggest danger if they are not well looked after. Batteries left in your camea begin to disolve after an extended period of time and the acid that comes out can cause irrepairable damage to you camera.

Batteries can also explode if left in direct sunlight o exposed to a heat source.

LCD display is made of stone

Takecare of the LCD display well especially if is protect by an antireflex layer. Cleaning of the LCD disply should always be carried out carefully with products endorsed by the manufacturer, always use non abrasive materials and non static materials for cleaning.

Sockets for connectors

Do take care that sand dust or small debris do not get into the sockets. Otherwise your camera might not work properly. You might not be able to connect your camera to your PC if the sockets are dirty or full of sand. You can try to clean the sockets with dry cotton- wool. But very carefull whille doing that. The best way to remove debris from sockets and connectors it to purchase a can of compressed air and spray the area thouroughly.

Have you drown your Camera?

Take the camera out of water as soon as possible. Switch the camera off. Then take off all parts as possible, suchas batteries, data cards. Wipe all the parts well and leave it all in a dry place. Once the camera is dry, put all the pieces together and hope. Hope that the camera works. If not working- the camera is gone forever.
